I spent the weekend in Minnesota, and I had to take the opportunity to stroll the neighborhood of the young Scott Fitzgerald. Unfortunately the weather was cool and windy, so this trip was a quick trip.
What I did find interesting is the for sale sign that was gracing the front yard of 481 Laurel Avenue.
This is Fitzgerald's Birthplace.
It has apparently been renovated and turned into condos. It is currently on the market for $250 thousand. I checked out the sale site and found some photos of the interior.
It is a fabulous little neighborhood. I wish I was in the market. Too bad everything has been changed. I like a little more historical charm in my spaces.
What do you think?

Hitting a dry spell
I am not a big believer of posts saying how sorry I am about not posting. And yet here I am saying how sorry I am for not posting.
Many things have kept me from writing. And I am sad to say even my reading has even suffered lately.
But I am taking a trip this weekend, I am packing my books and maybe, just maybe I will visit Fitzgerald's old neighborhood and feel the love again.
